Terms and Conditions


  1. Training Fees will be collected Minimally every 2 months.
  2. There are 3 payment methods:

    This payment method is better because it is updated in the Pacific system immediately.

  4. Withdrawal month fees are non-refundable.
  5. Months with 5 weeks (There will be no lesson on the 5th week).

  10. Each new student shall submit in advance a one month withdrawal fees plus the require monthly training fees.
  11. Student shall top up the difference for the withdrawal month fee if there is a change in their monthly class fees. Example: Student changing from a once a week training to two times a week training.
  12. This withdrawal fees will be used for the last month of training if at least 1 month's prior written notice is given for any withdrawal from the programme. Withdrawal submitted before the 5th of the month will end on the same month. Withdrawal notice received on and after the 5th of the month will end at the end of the following month. Withdrawal month fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Absence from lesson does not indicate withdrawal from class unless the withdrawal notice was received by us.
  13. The student’s withdrawal month fees will be automatically activated if there are outstanding fees not paid after 5 days from the due date. This student’s training slot will be release for others.
  14. Temporary suspension of the programme is NOT permitted.
  15. There will be no replacement lesson in the absence of the student. However, we do recognise that some exceptions can be approved for Replacement Class.
    Approved Replacement Class must be completed within 1 month of the missed dated.
    For example, due to a sudden medical condition & a family emergency. If approved, replacement class for such missed training is subjected to slot availability & the replacement trainings may be with different coaches on other timings & venue.
    The student must not lapse on training fees payment. Strictly no prorate.
    Do provide supporting information to us for replacement class approval.
  16. Replacement lesson will be arranged in the absence of the instructor.
  17. There will be no replacement lesson for competitive training.
  18. During poor weather conditions (example : drizzling ) lesson will continue until the lifeguard closes the pool. However, we will continue with dry land training, video lesson or theory lesson.
  19. There will be no lesson on all public holidays, Eve of New Year, Eve of Christmas & Eve of Chinese New Year. Scheduled lessons that fall on these holidays will not be replaced.
  20. Test will be arranged for student who meet the requirements.
  21. Test Fees & Pool admission charges are not inclusive in the fees.
  22. Months with 5 weeks: There will be no lesson on the 5th week
  23. Student can be asked to change class if deemed necessary.
  24. No transfer of fees to a third party is allowed.
  25. We will arrange a relief instructor if your regular instructor is unavailable.
  26. For students participating classes at ActiveSG pools, please ensure that he / she is registered as a supplementary account of the parent or a personal account with ActiveSG if you are an adult prior to the start of the lesson.
  27. In the event of unforeseen circumstances (Example: Pandemic, Ratio restriction by government, Pool closure, etc) where training is unable to continue in person, we will conduct online Zoom Training which will include Physical Training and/or Theory Lesson.
  28. Training Day & Time may change to facilitate, for example, appropriate level of training after a test or when your usual coach is not available due to medical or personal reasons.
  29. You hereby grant permission to us at no cost to use your images, names and profiles on our website, flyers, newsletter, slideshows, all social media platforms like Facebook, IG, TikTok etc for promotional and presentation purposes. You agree not to set a duration for this permission.

Insurance


  1. It is your responsibility to procure and maintain, at your own expense, any necessary insurance policies for yourself and/or your child/children while participating in our team's activities, including but not limited to health insurance, liability insurance, and any other relevant coverage.
  2. You acknowledge and understand that our team does not provide insurance coverage for participants during training sessions or events. Therefore, it is mandatory for all participants to rely on their own insurance policies for any claims arising from such activities.
  3. By joining our team, you explicitly agree to indemnify and hold harmless our team, its organizers, coaches, staff, and any affiliated entities from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses incurred as a result of your participation or the participation of your child/children in our training or events.
  4. In the event of any accidents, injuries, or other incidents occurring during team activities, you agree to promptly notify our team's management and provide any necessary information for the purpose of submitting insurance claims under your own policies.
  5. Our team reserves the right to request proof of valid and active insurance coverage from participants at any time during their involvement with the team. Failure to provide such documentation may result in your inability to participate in team activities.
  6. Training Day & Time may change to facilitate, for example, appropriate level of training after a test or when your usual coach is not available due to medical or personal reasons.

Registration & other

Privacy Policies


General
  1. Pacific Swim Team PTE LTD is committed to protecting our members personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act ("PDPA”). In line with the PDPA, by submitting this form, I hereby give my consent to Pacific Swim Team PTE LTD to collect, use and disclose my personal data for the purposes of administering and processing matters regarding my membership, event participation, receiving of information/updates and etc from Pacific Swim Team PTE LTD.
  2. Should you wish to withdraw your consent for Pacific Swim Team PTE LTD to contact you for the purposes stated above, please notify us in writing to enquiry@pacificswimteam.com.sg . We will then remove your personal information from our database. Please allow 5 working days for your withdrawal of consent to take effect.
  3. You hereby grant us permission to take and use yours and your child/children’s images, videos, profiles & names for promotional purposes and internal presentation (i.e. flyers, newsletter, slideshows). You understand that these may be used on the World Wide Web, our website & social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram… etc.
Payment
  1. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, your credit card data encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
  2. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
  3. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
Security
  1. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
  2. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
Accepting Risk when participating in our program
  1. As we navigate the world of sports and recreation, it's essential to acknowledge that participation in any sports activity inherently carries a degree of risk. Whether it's swimming, soccer, or any other physical endeavour, there are inherent risks associated with engaging in athletic pursuits. While we take extensive measures to minimize these risks through proper training, supervision, and adherence to safety protocols, it's important for all participants and their families to recognize and accept the inherent nature of these activities.At Pacific Swim Team, the safety and well-being of our participants are our top priorities. We continuously strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can learn, grow, and enjoy the benefits of sports participation. However, despite our best efforts, accidents and injuries can still occur, and it's important to approach sports with a realistic understanding of the potential risks involved.
  2. By acknowledging and accepting the inherent risks of sports participation, we can better prepare ourselves mentally and emotionally for any challenges that may arise. It's also a reminder of the importance of personal responsibility, proper preparation, and vigilance in ensuring the safety of ourselves and those around us. As we continue our journey together in sports and recreation, let's keep this principle in mind and work together to foster a culture of safety, awareness, and mutual support within our community.
Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.



PERSONAL PROPERTY


  1. Any items swimmer brings to training/competitions/other events are the responsibility of the swimmer, and we are in no way responsible for any lost items. Example: phone, camera, swim equipment, etc.


For All swimmer


  1. Embrace Hard Work. Have a teachable & positive attitude.
  2. Attend training sessions on time from start to end. If you must leave early, please inform the coach before the training session begins.
  3. Report immediately to your coach or any Pacific staff when you encounter issues like bullying, verbal abuse, physical abuse, lost of item, etc
  4. Be a responsible athlete by ensuring proper amount of sleep, getting proper nutrition, finishing your homework.
  5. Always demonstrate sportsmanship & respect toward coaches, teammates, officials, another swim team, and the public. This includes your actions on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, …etc. Any physical or verbal harassment toward others is unacceptable.
  6. Be respectful of other people’s possessions and property and refrain from activities that may cause damage. The swimmer is financially responsible for any damage caused.
  7. Immediate termination without any fees refunds if swimmer is involved in illegal activities OR any criminal activities OR Unacceptable behaviour.
  8. It is the responsibility of the parent or swimmer to check their personal Pacific account pertaining to the accuracy of matters like payment records, attendance, swim records, assessment, tests….etc. Please inform us at 98568280 immediately if needed.
  9. Swimmers are expected to practice appropriate lane etiquette during practice. Overtaking another swimmer is done by moving to the centre of the lane. Swimmers being passed should move to the side as much as possible, but not stop. Swimmers passing other swimmers must not grab, strike or interfere with the swimmer they are passing.
  10. The use of starting blocks is prohibited unless supervised by a coach. Horseplay on or around the blocks will not be tolerated.
  11. Always comply to pool rules, such as no running, pushing, etc.
  12. Every Swimmer to BRING A WATER BOTTLE to every training. Dehydration will impede your performance. After each training or swim meet, you should “refuel” within 30 minutes, to optimize your recovery. Chocolate milk is an Ideal recovery drink.


additional FOR COMPETITIVE swimmers & parents


  1. Wear Pacific Team T-shirt to Training, Competition & other events.
  2. For All Aquatic Competitions and activities, we have a represent Pacific Swim Team / Club first policy.
  3. Should swimmer need to represent another team/club, prior approval from us must be given via written or WhatsApp massage. No consent shall be needed if swimmer is representing in MOE Inter School competition. For example, Polite, IVP & Inter School National swim meets. Please note, Singapore National Age Group & Singapore National Game are some examples of what is Not MOE Inter School Competition. Please check with us if there are doubts.
  4. Immediate termination without any fees refund may be imposed if swimmer is involved in representing other team in any aquatic activities without a written consent from us.
  5. There are 2 types of training fees for our 7 stars competitive classes and some other competitive classes: Type 1: Monthly Fees $180 (With Scholarship) (Subject to approval) Type 2: Monthly Fees $360 (Normal)
  6. Condition for Scholarship:

    LOYALTY

  7. If swimmer choose to receive our scholarship, naturally we expect swimmers to stay loyal and give back to the team.
    Examples of how a swimmer can give back to the team:
    1. By participating & representing Pacific in competitions & other events
    2. Senior swimmers taking care of junior swimmers
    3. Encouraging each other during difficult time
    4. Volunteer to help in events
    We are certainly aware that from time-to-time other swim teams/clubs would attempt to poach our swimmers.
    As such, if the swimmer decides to join other swim team/club or is being terminated by us, the swimmer or parent or guardian agree to return these scholarship within 7 days counting from the last day of training.
    The amount shall be calculated based on $180 per month x total number of months of scholarship received, which include lessons not attended or cancelled.
    Example: If the swimmer received scholarship for 10 months. The amount to be return to us is $180 x 10 = $1800
    However, this can be waived based on the followings:
    1. The swimmer is selected for national level training.
      However, the swimmer will still represent us in non-calendar events for national swimmer.
      Example of non-calendar events are: Singapore National Age Group Competition & Singapore National Games.
    2. The swimmers have been paying the full training fees and have not received any subsidies.
    3. Our training has yielded ZERO improvement for the swimmer in the last 9 months despite the swimmer achieving a 90% attendance and injury free.
    4. A written letter or email from the other team/club stating that their training will guarantee results that we are unable to commit.
      Example: The other team/club state that they guarantee the athlete will be rank top 3 in Singapore under their training and we are unable to commit to such promises.
    5. A consent from us via written or WhatsApp messages.
    If the swimmer is unable to return the scholarship, then for a period of 1 year, the swimmer’s participation in all aquatic events shall be under the unattached category for representation.
    We seek your understanding that the purpose of such a clause is merely to recover the cost from the swimmer who choose to leave us due to reasons like: Being poached by other clubs & NOT BECAUSE WE ARE UNABLE TO DELIVER RESULT.




For Parents


  1. “Coaching” activities by parents are prohibited during training, competition & other events.
  2. Resolved issues amicably by talking to the coach in charge Or the Head Coach first after the training unless the matter requires immediate attention.
  3. Parents & coaches conferences are welcomed but should be arranged in advance.
    The Head Coach MUST be present at ALL parents & coaches conferences.
  4. Parents are allowed to observe training from afar.
    Please be considerate and keep conversations to a low volume when trainings are being conducted.
    Do not try to communicate with any swimmer from the observation area.
    For training in Nexus International School Pool (Private Property), please take note the followings:
    1. A: No Photography
    2. B: No Videography
    3. C: 1 Swimmer is allowed 1 Caregiver Only
      All caregivers must be at the viewing gallery throughout the training.
  5. Parents need to help support the athlete by ensuring proper amount of sleep (which is a huge contributor for success in sports and academic) & getting proper nutrition (You can look up good nutrition for swimmers on the internet)
  6. Help advocate the following to your child/children
    Embrace Hard Work - Have a teachable attitude - Always keep a positive attitude.
  7. Report immediately to your coach or any Pacific staff when you encounter issues like bullying, verbal abuse, physical abuse, loss of item, etc
  8. In terms of your language and action, always demonstrate sportsmanship & respect toward coaches, teammates, officials, another swim team, and the public.

INDEMNITY


  1. I hereby agree that Pacific Swim Team Pte Ltd shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury caused to my child/ward/myself in connection with my child's/ward's/myself when participating in the programmes & events.
  2. When participating in the programmes & events, I am fully aware there are possible accidents and injury and I accept them at our own risk.
  3. I shall indemnify Pacific Swim Team, Coaches, Staffs, Officials, Partners of Pacific Swim Team Pte Ltd for any claims, losses and damages arising from my child's/ward's/myself when participating in the programmes & events.
  4. I also agree to abide by and be bound by the terms and conditions and policies stipulated and I understand that they are subjected to amendments made from time to time by Pacific Swim Team Pte Ltd.
  5. By submitting this form, I confirm that I have read and agree to Pacific Swim Team Pte Ltd Terms & Conditions & Policies.
